As some of you will be aware, I recently took a trip to Greece and one of the big highlights for this bookworm was a visit to Atlantis Books on the island of Santorini.
As soon as we booked the holiday, I knew I had to make time for the bookshop. It always appears alongside Shakespeare and Co. on lists of famous, must-see bookshops, like this Buzzfeed list.
It is a really cute shop with lots of nooks and crannies – it feels a little bit like walking into a hobbit hole!
I also purchased some books there (of course) – the book of poetry The “Misunderstood” Monsters of Greek Mythology is so cute! And I can’t wait to get stuck into the Robert Graves’ book – the new comic-book cover is awesome!
It was definitely a highlight of the trip and I recommend a visit for any bookworms! The books are a little pricier than elsewhere, but the shop makes it worth it! Plus, you get a pretty stamp in the books to prove where they are from!
I love visiting bookshops when I’m on holidays – a book is a brilliant memento to bring back! Next bookish stop, hopefully, will be the town of Hay-on-Wye, the world’s official bookshop town!
