Stacking the Shelves #79

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where book enthusiasts can show off their newest additions to their collection!

I well and truly broke any semblance of a ban this week… OOPS! Twelve new books! Oh no, my TBR might actually crush me soon! Soooooo excited about meeting the lovely Jane Harper this week! And I can’t wait to get stuck into so many of these books!

Bought:

  • Invictus – Ryan Graudin

Time travelling thieves – what else could I possibly want from a story???

  • Force of Nature – Jane Harper

I loved The Dry and was so excited to work at an event for Jane Harper’s new book! I am very lucky to have a signed copy!

  • The Truants – Lee Markham

Book club book purchase! I purchased this three days before I was supposed to have read it so I had to get onto it quickly!

  • The Furthest Station – Ben Aaronovitch

I am a big fan of the PC Grant novels so I could not resist this really cute hardcover novella! I really like its cover too!

  • October is the Coldest Month – Christoffer Carlsson

My colleague’s favourite book of the year. I couldn’t resist while I was in the mood for breaking some bans!

  • The Library – Stuart Kells

I am a sucker for ANY AND ALL books about books! And I’m going to London primarily to visit the British Library in a few weeks, so I had to buy a book about libraries! (I will be doing some other things in London too. Hehehe!)

ARCs:

  • The Extremely Inconvenient Adventures of Bronte Middlestone – Jaclyn Moriarty

I couldn’t resist! I have loved Jaclyn Moriarty’s YA, so I am desperate to sink into her middle-grade fiction! And I have heard amazing reports!

  • Bad Mermaids – Sibéal Pounder

If you can resist a title like Bad Mermaids, I don’t trust you.

  • Prisoner of Ice and Snow – Ruth Lauren

Described to me as a cross between a prison break and Frozen – I think I need to start this sooner than I had intended writing that out again…

  • Young Jane Young – Gabrielle Zevin

I know nothing about this book or this author but I have seen some great reviews from people I admire online. Hence, I couldn’t resist.

  • The Invisible Library – Genevieve Cogman

I am so excited about this! Again, library in the title! Plus, it has been on my list for soooo long so I was thrilled to find a copy!

  • Happiness for Humans – P. Z. Reizin

First of all I love AIs. Second of all, I love weird romance novels. MIX THE TWO TOGETHER AND I KNOW I WILL LOVE THIS SO MUCH!

What did you add to your shelves this week?
